While I normally stick to brown and black eyeliner, I decided to add a pop of color to my makeup for a day filled mostly with errands.
It's been HOT lately and incredibly humid; because of this, I kept my makeup light and relatively simple. For my face, I used my Smashbox HD Foundation mixed with a pump of moisturizer to lighten the coverage and make it more hydrating. I set it with a light layer of Rimmel Stay Matte. I didn't want to cake on a lot of powder so the only other product I used on my skin was a blush; I very lightly dusted on Tarte's Amazonian Clay Blush in Dollface.
On my eyes, I dusted Wreckage from my Urban Decay Mariposa palette all over my lid. It's a natural brown taupe color with slight shimmer. For a pop of color, I lined my eyes with a Cargo Swimmables Pencil in teal. I winged my liner out a bit because personally, I enjoy a winged eyeliner. I coated my lashes with L'Oreal's Voluminous Mascara; it's my absolute favorite drugstore mascara. Finally, I filled in any sparse areas in my eyebrows with my Urban Decay Brow Pot in HOney; As you can see, my eyebrows are a little messy right now as I'm growing them out before having them shaped. Finally, on my lips I used my Revlon Lip Butter in Sweet Tart a more muted bright pink.
Have you been adding more color to your summer makeup? What do you think of this look?
